Our first few weeks of school have passed remarkably quickly. After the initial explosion of activity which marks the return to school after the summer holidays, we are, by now settling into the rhythms and routines of school life.
On Wednesday 20th September, the whole school celebrated Mass to mark the beginning of the new school year. We took time to reflect on the year ahead and we prayed for God’s blessing on each and every one of us and on our endeavours throughout the coming year. A big thank you to Canon George who celebrated mass. It was great to see the school community come together and to hear the children’s lovely singing.
Afterwards parents, grandparents and friends returned to the school hall for our Coffee Morning in aid of the local Hospice, raising €479.50 in the process. A massive thank you to everyone who turned out in force and to all the parents and bakers who supplied mouth-watering treats!
