The introduction of the new Primary Mathematics Curriculum is a significant exciting milestone in primary education.  Learning through play and problem solving by providing more opportunities for children to be creative, take risks and be challenged is a key emphasis.  Today, we launched our lovely new maths area in the foyer.  Each week new challenges will be presented for the children to engage in.  Classrooms and corridors were full of engaging mathematical activities that involved lots of enjoyment, effort, risk-taking, critical thinking and reflection.  Check out this week’s puzzles, problems and brainteasers above.
