Sixth Class enjoyed an excellent visit to the SSE Dunneill Wind Farm led by Martin Burns. The students enjoyed a tour around the site, seeing the windmills in action and even got to explore the inside of one. It was incredibly informative and we learned all about renewable energy, how much electricity our local windmills are producing, the process of servicing the windmills and the career opportunities attached to the sector. It was an amazing experience for the kids and a huge thanks to Martin Burns for being an excellent guide!
