There was an explosion of Science activity around the school during November. Mrs Lynott & Mrs Mulhern were investigating the effect of heat and change as aromas of tasty buns and treacle bread wafted down the corridors. Sixth Class explored the topic of light. They carried out experiments exploring light travelling in straight lines, reflection and refraction and made kaleidoscopes, pinhole cameras and periscopes. Mrs Meeneghan’s class studied their fingerprints and enjoyed seeing the effects of adding mentos to a bottle of coke! Check out the photos below which give a flavour of some of the science activity which took place around the school.
