Path to the Cumann na mBunscol Final

Kilglass NS’ boys team got a bye and headed straight into the quarter finals where they faced Ardkeerin NS, Riverstown on 25th April. They started off slow and ended 6-4 at the half time whistle. After inspiring words from Coach Mrs Lynott and Alan Duffy, our Club Development Officer, we remembered why we were there and it drove us on, securing us a place in the semi-final. Final score was 16-9.

On Tuesday 21st May, under grey skies, Kilglass NS went up against their neighbours, Corballa NS for the semi-final at The Centre of Excellence, Scarden. The boys were 9-6 up at half time. After a few good points on our side, Corballa began to put the pressure on. Thanks to the swift actions and determination of the Kilglass side, we came out on top. Final score was 16-12.

On June 8th , after a prolonged period of training and preparation for the big day, Kilglass boys will head for Markievicz Park with a huge following of support from their families, school and beyond. We are ready to secure a successful win for our school.

Thank you to Mrs Lynott and Alan Duffy, our Club Development Officer for Enniscrone/ Kilglass for all the training they did with us during school, their advice, support and guidance to prepare us for all our matches. To the referees who ensure the games are played with respect and fairness, thank you.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Enniscrone/Kilgass GAA and Cathal Mullaney, Chairperson of the club, for all the work and support which they provided to our school this year.
