Save The Date – 05 June 2025
The finale and culmination of two years work as the lead school of the West Sligo Creative Cluster will be celebrated in Kilglass Woods on the evening of June 05 2025, time TBC.

Lóchrainn na Rónta, the Legend of the Selkie was a unique and memorable light installation on Enniscrone Beach in May 2023, and was the pinnacle of two years artistic collaboration between Kilglass, Killeenduff NS, Rathlee NS and Stokane NS. It truly was a night to remember that will live long in our collective memories.

Lorg na Scéalaíochta-The West Sligo Story Trail is a theatre promenade event with life-sized puppets created by the children in Ms. Brogan’s room in collaboration with Carmel Balfe, puppeteer. Carmel also worked with the other three schools in the Cluster creating more life-sized puppets, focusing on local legends and stories from the Dúchas School Collection.

Our combined creations will come to life with music, drama, theatre and song to tell the story of some local legends and celebrate the historic landscape in our midst. Every child in the school will be creating lanterns to decorate the trail. The finale will be the collective performance of a specially adapted song for the occasion followed a combined school music session.
