Some amazing photos from our Creative Clusters light installation event entitled ‘Lóchrainn na Rónta’. Thank you so much to all the children and their parents who braved the chilly night and came out in force. Sincere thanks to artist Tom Meskell for guiding the children to create these wonderful Selkies, Rocks, Lighthouse, Starfish and lanterns. Thank you Rossa Ó Snodaigh for facilitating the workshops to create the soundscape for the event.

Lóchrainn na Rónta- a light installation and performance celebrating the legend of the Selkie will take place on Sunday night May 14 next.
This installation and short performance is the result of our Creative Cluster collaboration between Rathlee NS, Leaffoney NS, Stokane NS, Killeenduff NS, ourselves in Kilglass NS and with the artist Tom Meskal and musician Rossa Ó Snodiagh.
The performance and installation will be filmed and photographed professionally on the night as a record of a once in a lifetime creative opportunity for our school community.
All family members are welcome to come along and view what will be a unique celebration of our children’s creative endeavour. Every child in the school from Infants to Rang 6 has been involved in the creation of the installation and will participate in the short musical performance.
Children must be accompanied by a parent. This will be a short activity at sunset and will only last about 20/30 minutes in total
The adults present will have a special place to stand in the centre of the performance area, but stewards will be present on the night to guide everyone to their place.
It promises to be a spectacular event and a unique experience for all our children and community, as we celebrate the culmination of our Creative Cluster collaboration.

Venue: Enniscrone Beach- located near the old Seaweed Baths on Cliff Road.
Parking: Car Park located to the rear of the Ocean Sands
Requirements: Children wear PLAIN navy or black tracksuit bottoms and a plain white t-shirt. It is important that hi-vis/ neon stripes are not worn on any clothing as they will detract from the visual effect in the photography and drone footage.
Duration: 20 mins approx.
