Our first few weeks of school have passed remarkably quickly. After the initial explosion of activity which marks the return to school after the summer holidays, we are, by now settling into the rhythms and routines of school life.
On Thursday 19th September, the whole school celebrated Mass to mark the beginning of the new school year. We took time to reflect on the year ahead and we prayed for God’s blessing on each and every one of us and on our endeavours throughout the coming year. Canon George spoke to us about the importance of being kind to one another and developing our gifts and talents.
Afterwards parents, grandparents and friends returned to the school hall for our Coffee Morning in aid of the local Hospice. €318.40 was raised for Hospice on the day. A massive thank you to everyone who turned out in force, to Colette and her team, all the parents and bakers who supplied mouth-watering treats!
