Sport has sprung to life over the last two months in Kilglass National School. Taking advantage of the good weather all classes are enthusiastically participating in a series of six sessions with Aaron Costello from Sligo Sports and Recreation Partnership as part of our PE programme. Running, jumping and throwing, dribbling, catching and passing skills are being developed in active, team-building drills, challenges and games.
Gaelic coach, Stephen Henry is also back in action. All children from Junior Infants to Sixth Class are involved in action-packed coaching sessions every Wednesday which focuses on developing fundamental movement skills, acquiring new football skills and ultimately having fun whilst participating in Gaelic Games. Fun, fair play and achievement are fostered as children master basic skills and work on developing their awareness and playing proficiency.
A big thank you to Aaron and Stephen for all their great PE lessons.
